An Auto-Immune Manifesto

An Auto-Immune Manifesto
Art by Meagan Chaput

from Auto-Immune Heresy

1. The transience of the body itself is holy.

2. Auto-immunity is self-defence, multifarious resistance, radical permeability, touchability.

3. Auto-immunity demands surrender, re-evaluation of what makes you human, what makes you you.

4. There is no such thing as health.

5. Auto-immunity shatters the telos upon shores of blood, treatment of symptoms agonizes the root cause.

6. Auto-immunity is not an illness, it is endowment with strength, power, knowledge

7. Auto-immunity is self-knowledge, a map, responsibility.

8. Through auto-immunity, universal entanglements reverberate in felt sense.

9. Auto-immunity is not a curse, it is the wise wound within the body.

10. I would rather be sick and cunning than healthy and dull.

11. If I am sick, the land is sick.

12. Auto-immunity is the body in revolt against global poisoning.

13. Auto-immunity transcends identity.

14. Culture is autoimmune.

15. Auto-immunity diffracts the body's holistic context.

16. You can be autoimmune without conscious acceptance. Soon enough, your body will tell you.

17. Auto-immunity is a form of mourning; the body grieving worldly cruelty.

18. Auto-immunity is a call to listen.

19. Auto-immunity is inexorable change.

20. Auto-immunity is embodied heresy.

21. Auto-immunity is both constructive and destructive interference.

22. Auto-immunity is necessarily solitary, but you are not alone.
